Residency
We are inviting 50–100 global changemakers for a residency of three months to three years in pristine nature, just 20 minutes south of central Stockholm.
Solving today’s challenges requires a shift in how we see ourselves, each other, and the planet—as one interconnected system. Now is the time for our most courageous and authentic selves to emerge. The residency aims to be a global beacon of hope—a node of emergence—in a growing network of initiatives where people live, create, and collaborate with care for all life.
And it can be affordable. There are options from €650 per month in shared apartments, including program and community fees.

Admission
Lakefront is a home for changemakers and visionaries who are actively working toward systemic transformation. We select residents not just for who they are, but for their contribution to the world—whether in governance, technology, education, sustainability, or culture. What matters most is your commitment to both inner development and outer impact, and your willingness to engage in a co-created community.
We welcome couples, but are currently unable to accommodate children, as the residency is designed for focused, adult-oriented living.
Program
As a new resident, your journey will begin with a light, three-month foundation program designed to gently ground you in the Lakefront experience. It will take no more than a few hours per week and is woven into daily life, allowing space for your own projects and rhythms. The program offers shared frameworks, reflective practices, and meaningful conversations that help align personal growth with collective purpose. The Foundation Program is co-created by leading organisations such as the Ekskäret Foundation, Emerge, Perspectiva, and the Inner Development Goals—each bringing a rich perspective on inner and outer transformation.
Accommodation
The main building is all connected but divided into a few different sections or wings. In total there are 41 fully equipped and furnished apartments (renovations in progress) with own bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette. They range in size from 25-50m2. Most apartments will be occupied by a single resident or a couple, some will be shared for lower accommodation costs. Every wing has around 10 apartments together with its own larger communal kitchen and hang-out space. There is more that 1.000 m2 of communal space available to all residents.
Life at Lakefront
Lakefront is more than co-living—it's co-evolving. Residents support each other’s growth through shared practices, spontaneous collaboration, and a culture of care. Life here flows with nature and intention, blending solitude and community, purpose and play. It’s a home for those living the change they wish to see.
Community life is emergent, not imposed. It is guided by principles of self-leadership, mutual care, and a shared commitment to inner and outer transformation.
Shared Spaces
Lakefront offers over 1,000 m² of thoughtfully designed communal spaces that serve as the heart of the residential community. These spaces are more than just amenities—they are invitations to connect, create, and come alive together.
Gather with others in the spacious living room, complete with a home cinema system for shared film nights and learning sessions. Sink into stillness or conversation in the cozy fireplace lounge, or sweat it out and cool off with a dip from the floating sauna raft on the lake.
Support your wellbeing in the gym, yoga room, and meditation space, or enjoy a casual coffee and conversation in the café corner. For focus and flow, the co-working space offers an environment tailored to deep work and collaboration.
The library and event hall is a centerpiece—ideal for talks, gatherings, and moments of inspiration, surrounded by books and beauty. Creative energy flows through the podcast studio, handicraft atelier, and repair workshop, all designed to support hands-on expression and circular living.
To stay connected with the land and each other, shared e-bikes are available for residents to explore the surrounding nature or cycle into the city with ease.

"The world doesn’t change one person at a time. It changes as networks of relationships form among people who discover they share a common cause and a vision of what’s possible."
