Life at Lakefront

A cozy, joyful, and inspiring home for changemakers

Emerge Lakefront is a place where people come not just to work on the world’s most urgent challenges, but to live in a way that reflects the future they believe in. Here, you can relax, recharge, and be your most authentic self. Whether you're seeking deep conversations by the fire, spontaneous collaboration in the co-working space, or quiet reflection by the lake, Lakefront is a home where you belong.

A Co-Created Community

Lakefront is built on shared leadership, self-organization, and collective care. We don’t have a rigid program or top-down structure—instead, residents co-create the culture and rhythm of the place. You’re invited to shape the community: host a workshop, organize a morning practice, spark a discussion circle, or simply tend to what calls your care, from the garden to the vibe in the kitchen.

We operate with a shared economy that empowers residents to bring their ideas to life—whether that’s building a podcast studio, setting up a craft night, or hosting a house concert. Every offering, every gathering, every space is shaped by those who live here.

There’s no fixed schedule—only an open invitation to co-create the culture you want to live in. If you feel the spark to contribute, you're already halfway there.

The Main Building

At the center of all of this lies our main building of 6.000 m2 facing south with stunning lake views.

Living & Connecting

You’ll be part of a multi-layered community:

  • A Pod (4–5 people) – Your closest support circle. This is your home base for check-ins, reflection, and emotional grounding. Pods are where deeper trust is built—where you can show up fully, be seen, and be held through the ups and downs of your journey.
  • A Cohort (15–20 people) – The group you’ll grow with through the Foundation Program and beyond. Your cohort is a learning container, a creative team, and a constellation of allies. Together, you’ll explore key themes, support each other’s projects, and form bonds that often extend far beyond your time at Lakefront.
  • Your Residential Wing – The area you’ll call home, shared with about 15 other residents. Each wing includes private apartments and a communal kitchen and hangout space. This is your everyday community—a place for spontaneous dinners, late-night talks, and shared rituals of daily life.

We host a weekly open schedule, which anyone in the community can contribute to. It’s a living calendar shaped by your interests, talents, and curiosities. One week might feature morning yoga, a nonviolent communication workshop, an AI co-creation session, improv games, or a slow dinner by candlelight. Another might bring breathwork circles, climate innovation sprints, or live music in the library.

There are no required events—just a wide field of possibility. If you have a passion, a practice, or an experiment to share, this is the space to offer it. Lakefront is built not just for you, but by you.
