Who is it for?

Different work. A shared orientation

Residents come from research, technology, the arts, education, sustainability, social enterprise and many other fields. Lakefront looks for curiosity, care for others, a practice or project of your own, and a willingness to contribute to a shared home.

What matters

Purpose beyond your own success, openness to personal growth, presence, care and a thoughtful approach to community living.

Practical fit

Residents should be able to make Lakefront their home for at least a year. Couples are welcome; Lakefront currently cannot accommodate children.

Not a checklist

You do not need a particular title or background. If the place resonates but you are unsure whether you fit, Lakefront invites you to get in touch.

Residency · How to apply

Could you see yourself here?

Residency is by application. Lakefront considers what you are working on, how you engage with others and what you seek in a home. Their current site describes the process as informal.
